Here is the 2nd movement to my first piano sonata. I am trying to finish up this piano sonata soon, because I have put off the last movements for far too long. Gotta keep on keepin’ on.

Did you get the final movement completed? I noticed the last comment was ages ago.
I am relieved that the second movement was played via the Sibelius Piano program. A live piano player would be better in the transitioning from soft to loud and from heavy to light.
This is the first step in the free course for me.
Hi Jane,
I never did compose a 3rd movement, but I probably should. I enjoy playing this one quite a bit on my own, so I’ll try to work up to a real recording of me playing it, but I’d have to practice quite a bit. Sibelius can give you an idea of the piece, but it’s never enough. It really needs human nuance.
Hello-
That was very nice! Just curious- do you use piano software or was it a recording
from a real piano? It’s so hard to tell anymore! Just curious!
Thanks,
Scott
Hey Scott. Thanks for the compliment. It was just sampled directly from Sibelius’s Piano in Sibelius 7. It gives a pretty decent playback, but I am looking forward to getting a real piano player to record it. I don’t quite have the chops to record it myself on piano although I can work through it.
